Papers of George Washington Ball [manuscript], 1895.

The collection contains a letter, 1895 August 6, Washington City from Ball to D.N. Morgan, discussing genealogical and historical subjects especially the Revolutionary service of Colonel Burges Ball. He mentions the desire of John Tyler, Jr., to sell his manuscript acccount of the explosion on the U.S.S.Princeton in 1844 and also mentions colonial miniatures and other relics in the Tyler family. There is also an engraved calling card for Ball.
